An Atlantic Discovery

By Development and Alumni Relations Team

On Wednesday 12 December, the Atlantic Discovery team, comprised of three Royal Holloway alumni, set off from La Gomera in the Canaries, in a 28ft boat loaded with almost a tonne of manpower, supplies and equipment, to row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean.

Benjamin Ajayi-Obe (BSc Computer Science, 2014), Isaac Kenyon (BSc Petroleum Geology, 2015) and Jack Hopkins (BSc Computer Science 2014), along with their teammate, Cameron Parker, will join 30 teams from around the world making the gruelling journey to English Harbour, Antigua.

Atlantic Discovery is raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Berkshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, where Ben’s mother is receiving treatment.
