Royal Holloway alumna, Sarah Lynn (Modern History & Politics, 2003), has been crowned as a joint winner of this year’s BBC show The Apprentice, winning a £250,000 business investment and a 50/50 partnership with the multimillionaire business tycoon, Alan Sugar.

Sarah created and leads a sweet gifting business that focuses on confectionery products for retailers and corporate clients, which she is aiming to expand with Lord Sugar. Triumphing over 16 other candidates, and in a new twist for the 12-week competition, Sarah was one of two winners, with fellow contestant James White also receiving investment for his IT recruitment company.

Following the victory, Sarah said “It feels incredible. I’m just shocked and amazed and so proud that Lord Sugar found enough in both of us to make a double investment. The future is definitely sweet, and it’s going to be a great adventure.”

A huge congratulations to Sarah from everyone at Royal Holloway! We look forward to following her journey as Lord Sugar’s new business partner over the next few months and years.
