Congratulations to Ashna Hurynag (English, 2014), Production Journalist at ITV, who recently won a ‘Flying Futures’ Talent award for new talent in the television industry at the Royal Television Society West of England Awards.
The ‘Flying Futures’ Talent award recognises outstanding emerging talent in any part of the behind-the-camera production process including Research, Production Management, Producing, Development, across all genres and is aimed at those with no more than two years’ experience in television.
Ashna told us, “I’m incredibly honoured to have received this accolade from the Royal Television Society based in the West of England. A few years ago I was running Royal Holloway’s television station, alongside working on my degree – now I’m humbled to be working for a national broadcaster. This achievement is a true reflection of the great team I get to work with. It’s a celebration of all our efforts to create engaging, informative regional news everyday.”
